OpenSea: A Wolf in Sheep's Clothing?

Thanks for sharing the story, and I am sorry for Robbie's financial loss.

I think this is where things got ugly with OpenSea:

The hacker could have gotten to his assets through any number of things - a fishing app, malware, etc.  I think if you read OpenSea's TOS, they will claim that they only provide a platform.  Companies are very sensitive to monetary claims from users, so before you are 100% sure that OpenSea is liable, be scrupulous about such a statement and always transfer your assets somewhere else first.

The content of the whole world should be all licensed under some kind of CC Commons.  When we claim to “create” something, it’s not like we  start from zero… our education is based on learning someone else’s works and experience, that’s how the world comes to what it is today.  This copyright thing means good but goes to a whole wrong way.  It doesn’t encourage creativity, but the opposite.
