đˇÂ Starbucks Odyssey, a web3 loyalty program, released its first collection of 2,000 limited-edition NFTs called âStampsâ. During the invite-only launch, the site still experienced errors as it was overwhelmed by the traffic, and the collection was sold out in just 18 minutes.
đˇÂ Hermes wants the MetaBirkin project to be forbidden. Hermès recently resolved the NFT trademark lawsuit and was awarded $133k, but is now requesting Rothschild (the artist behind the MetaBirkin project) to abandon the entire project, including its smart contracts and social media NFT communities.
đˇ Back in 2018, Vitalik Buterin, social activist Glen Weyl, and economist ZoĂŤ Hitzig from Harvard University released a paper on Quadratic Funding, a public fundraising mechanism. Now, Buterin created NFTs out of it. The token minting was facilitated by Gitcoin & Metalabel.
Collectors produced 9,221 tokens at a base price of 0.5 ETH, equivalent to roughly $770. One week later, OpenSea data indicates that the collectionâs trading volume amounts to 7,763 ETH or almost $12 million at the time of writing.
đˇÂ The North Face has introduced a set of NFTs tapping into the Chinese consumersâ interest in adventure and outdoor-themed products in the post-pandemic market.
Due to regulations in China, NFTs cannot be bought directly, and customers can only obtain them by purchasing a specific product from The North Face.
đˇÂ NASCAR (National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing) is introducing a 3D experience called âSpeed Hubâ in the Roblox metaverse, building on their previous entry into this virtual space in 2021.
