What is your opinion regarding this piece?
I think it's fascinating!
Most importantly I enjoyed that it covered the cons! A lot of articles do not tell us the downsides of choosing a particular service, but the above piece presents a balanced review by including that. Furthermore, I'm glad to see user reviews mentioned as well.
What are some of the varying perspectives on this subject that youāre aware of?
Some people believe that they have to set things up from scratch or "reinvent the wheel" instead of leveraging these tools.
However, itās important to note that for the most part, developer tools have served as an absolute staple while building products. They frequently simplify complexities and make it possible to complete work much quicker.
What are some of the nuances people frequently miss when discussing this subject matter?
I think many people forget to appreciate how much complexity dev tools mitigate for us. I can't imagine code collaboration without Git šfor example.
What is your favourite quote or paragraph from this article? Why?
"Great for working within a design team but has some flaws." - User review on Figma.
I think this captures the fact that no tool is perfect, even if it is considered to be the best in its class š
Was there a part of the article that you didnāt necessarily think about before, what was it?
I definitely didn't look into Bitbucket before -- I always thought it wasn't good enough. Then I saw it supports add-ons as well, and that got me to explore it!
Is there anything else about this youād like us to know?
These dev tools definitely allow us to write code better, collaborate better and test better! I'd like everyone to consider exploring GitHub Copilot and its amazing possibilities for development.
