This story is a part of Hacker Noon's Meet the Writer series of interviews. The series is intended for tech professionals contributing the most insightful Hacker Noon stories to share more about their writing habits, ideas, and professional background (and maybe a hobby or two). Hey! My name is Ignatius Sani, and I’m a web developer instructor at careerFoundry, a coding Bootcamp that train junior developers.
On the personal side, I’m somewhat of a hobby fiend. I love to cook. I started cooking when I was just 12. I was already cooking for the family at age 15 because this was what I enjoyed. I don’t really mind it every day. When I’m not stuffing my face, I’m a guitar player, songwriter, and reader, in no particular order.
It was Object-oriented Programming vs. Functional Programming: Which Is Better? I put together this story to help developers make a better choice between these two paradigms. It seems it was really helpful to them.
I most often write about programming/web development and its applications to the world. Been really busy at work, so I haven’t had much time to write in the last several months. I’m hoping to write more when I get the balance to explore new topics in the tech and restart my writing routine.
I write my stories at a fairly relaxed and piecemeal pace, keeping a light structure in that I need to get some amount of writing down every week. It has led to an improvement in the quality and quantity of pieces.
This is so true! The biggest challenge for me when it comes to writing is finding a way to balance between an informative story and an interesting one. Also, translating the technical words into a simple word for a comprehensive purpose could be challenging too. Yeah.
I love to teach, impart knowledge. Being an instructor has really been like a dream come true for me. To be honest, I’m really happy about it. I’m so proud of my students at CareerFoundry and right now, all I want to focus on is making sure I help my students reach their goal of becoming full-stack developers.
Music - specifically country music. I enjoy listening to songs from artists like Taylor Swift, John Mayer.
Of course, I do! I love to play the guitar, and I also enjoy writing songs a lot.
Not sure yet, but I’m working on a story about how to optimize a software program using caching.
My closing words will be we do more when passion is the driver because it makes it hard to give up. Thanks to HackerNoon for providing a platform like this that helps us reach out to the world!
