#Decentralized-Internet Writing Contest: May/June Results Announced

Hackers rejoice! Here we are again with the #Decentralized-Internet writing contest winners for the month of May and June!

For those who are reading about it for the first time, HackerNoon has built a partnership with Free Ton (Now Everscale) - a decentralized, community-powered blockchain movement for free internet! We're giving away monthly prizes worth $3,500 to the best HackerNoon #Decentralized-Internet stories with this partnership.

How do we shortlist the best stories?

First, we picked all the stories tagged with #Decentralized-Internet on HackerNoon, published in May and June 2021 - This gave us a total of 104 stories.

Then we picked the top 15 stories, as we did last time on the same 60:30:10 weightage respectively to:

• Number of hours read

• Number of people reached

We created a poll in HackerNoon's writing contest channel and asked the editors to vote. This time, it took us a week to decide on our favorite stories.
