Too Long; Didn't Read

In this series I’ll validate a new idea. Read about the concept <a href="https://medium.com/@EmilBruckner/day-0-zero-to-mvp-in-30-days-what-its-all-about-c39215a531f7" target="_blank">here (Day 0)</a> and the idea <a href="https://hackernoon.com/day-1-zero-to-mvp-in-30-days-idea-plan-69db96f62b3f" target="_blank">here (Day 1)</a>.

In this series I’ll validate a new idea. Read about the concept here (Day 0) and the idea here (Day 1).

I now asked quite a few people what they would want a Quora-Tool to do, and I received some answers. I will now end this phase of research and get into some real coding, so that I can do the real validation with the MVP-method.

fun fact: the image I used as background for the PH Ship page, is todays photo of the day on unsplash.com

I think I’m getting the hang of what people would want a “Quora for (Content-) Marketing”-Tool to do.

There’s the type of person who just answers A LOT of questions and doesn’t look too much at stats. My first MVP won’t help them. That’s ok.

Just today I received my favourite answer to the following question:_How many questions do you look at for every one you answer?_I do this only when I promote content — that’s 10% of the time

That consolidates my initial theory that this would most likely be something for marketers. I should probably highlight that a bit more on the landing page.

What I also noticed thus far, is that people wish for notifications. They don’t want to go to Quora twice a week just to type in their usual queries and see whether anything notable changed. Even if you did that manually, it would be very time consuming an probably wouldn’t be backed by strong enough statistics. I could even see my pivoting this thing towards a dashboard for Quora topics & questions and so on. I planned to include notifications from the beginning, but thanks to my research I will definitely put more efforts into that. It’s quite funny how I came to the idea of of notifications / alerts. After having the idea I drafted out a few details about it and thought about pricing. When I thought about the highest pricing tier, I had the idea of alerts.

Oh, and about the mission:

Make it easier & more efficient to use Quora for Content Marketing

The plan for tomorrow

  • Write some code
  • Draft a blog post
