Marvel’s big jolly green superhero has been a prominent character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) since his debut in the feature film, The Incredible Hulk. Although the character has changed and evolved, he remains one of the most popular characters in the MCU.
However, there still might be questions that people have surrounding the Hulk. Yes, he’s heavily featured in the MCU, but not as much as the other Avengers. So, with that in mind, here are all the answers to your Hulk questions.
According to Brittanica.com, the Hulk was created in 1962 by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby.
In the MCU, two actors have portrayed the Hulk. The first one was Edward Norton who only portrayed him in the first movie, The Incredible Hulk.
Mark Ruffalo would then pick up the mantle in The Avengers, and he’s been playing the character ever since.
There have only been two live-action Hulk movies: Hulk, which came out in 2003, and The Incredible Hulk, which came out in 2008.
In Thor: Ragnarok, the Hulk ends up on the planet Sakaar where he’s eventually reunited with Thor and Loki. But how did he end up there? At the end of Avengers: Age of Ultron, the Hulk flies away in a Quinjet. Somehow, the Quinjet’s trajectory led him right to Sakaar.
At the end of the She-Hulk series, Hulk reveals to his family that he’s officially a father. But who is this mysterious new son?
In the comics, the Hulk is stranded on the planet Sakaar. There, he meets a woman and has a child, Skaar (a very original name).
Although not much is known about the character’s backstory in the MCU, it’s most likely that it will tie back to the Hulk’s time in Sakaar. Because remember, he was there for quite a while before Thor showed up. Anything could’ve happened.
The Hulk’s power sort of fluctuates in the MCU. Sometimes, he’s shown to be immensely strong, and other times, he’s shown to be only kind of strong. For example, he was strong enough to use the Infinity Gauntlet without dying. But he wasn’t strong enough to beat Thanos in a one-on-one fight.
So although he probably can’t go around claiming to be the strongest there is, the Hulk is still one of the strongest Avengers on the roster.
The Hulk in the comic books is a different answer, however. Marvel.com gives Hulk a perfect 7 out of 7 in the durability category and in the strength category.
In comparison, the Fantastic Four’s The Thing gets a 6 in both categories, the Sentry gets a 6 and a 7 in the two categories, and Thanos also gets a 6 and a 7.
He’s by far the strongest Avenger and one of the strongest in the entire universe.
Even before the MCU, the Hulk was one of Marvel’s most recognizable characters. He’s been immensely popular for decades, and he will continue to be for quite some time. Hopefully, this article gave you a little more insight into the Green Avenger.
